Career

After becoming the first Uzbek to play in Ligue 1 with Lens, Khusanov joined Manchester City in January 2025 — a reported £33.5m move that also made him the first Uzbek in the English Premier League.

Pep Guardiola publicly called him a 'top signing' in January 2026 as his minutes grew, and he featured in the FA Cup final later that season.

On 25 July 2026 he signed a new five-year contract keeping him at City until 2031, saying it was 'a great day for me and my family'.
