Career

He spent his first eight senior seasons at Al-Arabi (2007–15), then four at Al-Gharafa, before Al-Rayyan signed him in July 2019. FotMob lists 158 appearances and 16 goals for Al-Rayyan through 2026.

For Qatar he has more than 120 caps. He started at the 2022 World Cup on home soil and was in the 2026 squad, playing 45 minutes of the 3–1 group win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on 24 June after sitting the first two games.

A left-footed central or attacking midfielder, now used more as a squad option than a weekly starter at 35. BeSoccer has him at 11 appearances and 638 minutes across the 2025–26 Stars League and GCC Champions League, with more substitute than starting minutes in the league.
