Career
Born 19 August 1996 in Khartoum and a Qatar international, Ali is Al-Duhail's captain and a striker/winger. Wikipedia lists him as the nation's all-time top goalscorer; Instagram/profile round-ups citing June 2026 figures give 60 goals in 129 caps.
He scored a record nine goals at the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, the tournament that made him a continental name, and has remained Al-Duhail's centre-forward.
On 1 June 2026 BBC Sport reported Lopetegui included him in Qatar's World Cup squad as the country's all-time leading scorer. Red Bull's athlete page says he made a single appearance at the 2026 finals.
