Bamba Dieng is a Senegalese centre-forward who left Lorient as a free agent in June 2026 and signed for Red Star Belgrade on 21 August 2026, days after a World Cup summer with Senegal.

Career

He exploded at Diambars — 12 goals in 14 games and the Senegal Premier League golden boot in 2019–20 — then moved to Marseille, first on loan and then permanently, scoring 8 Ligue 1 goals and the 2021–22 UNFP goal of the season against Strasbourg.

Lorient signed him in January 2023. After a 2024–25 loan at Angers he returned and finished 2025–26 tied as Lorient's top scorer with 10 Ligue 1 goals. His contract expired on 30 June 2026.

A penalty-box striker who also works the left channel, he times runs onto cut-backs and is comfortable taking a spot-kick — he scored one in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations final shootout.

Where they are now

On 21 August 2026 he signed a two-year contract with Red Star Belgrade, with a club option for a further year. Senegal had already named him in the 26-man World Cup squad on 21 May.
