Career

Nicknamed Take, he left Barcelona’s academy for FC Tokyo, joined Real Madrid as a teenager, and spent loans at Mallorca, Villarreal and Getafe before a permanent €6.5 million move to Real Sociedad in July 2022 — the club’s first Japanese signing.

He scored on his Liga debut at Cádiz. 2025–26 was his leanest year in San Sebastián: two league goals in 27 appearances, then a three-month layoff after a serious injury just as Pellegrino Matarazzo arrived. He still came off the bench in the 88th minute as Sociedad beat Atlético Madrid on penalties to win the 2026 Copa del Rey on 18 April.

A left-footed right winger who lives on the dribble and the cut-inside. When fit he is Sociedad’s creative hub alongside Mikel Oyarzabal; when not, the team looks ordinary.

Where they are now

Marca wrote on 30 June 2026 that no summer exit was expected. FotMob shows two Liga starts in 2026–27, including 74 minutes in a 4–1 against Real Madrid on 26 August. The contract runs to 2029 with a €60 million release clause Mundo Deportivo called unrealistic after his dip.
