Teun Koopmeiners is Juventus's No. 8, a Dutch midfielder who arrived from Atalanta in August 2024 and opened his 2026–27 Serie A account as a late substitute against Parma.
Career
He came through AZ in Castricum, then joined Atalanta in 2021. Juventus signed him on 28 August 2024 on a five-year deal; Wikipedia records the fee to Atalanta as €51.3 million plus €3.4 million in ancillary costs and up to €6 million in add-ons.
His first Juventus appearance was a 0–0 with Roma on 1 September 2024; his first Bianconeri goal came in a 2–2 with Bologna on 7 December. Wikipedia's 2025–26 Serie A line is 33 appearances and no league goals, with two in the Champions League.
How they play
A 1.84 m box-to-box midfielder who can take set pieces. At Juventus in 2026–27 he has started from the bench: ESPN logged 11 minutes at Frosinone on 23 August and a stoppage-time goal after an 86th-minute introduction against Parma.
Where they are now
NOS reported that his 29 August 2026 strike made Juventus 2–0 winners over Parma and joint Serie A leaders with Milan. ESPN still lists him at Juventus, with Milan away on 6 September 2026 as the next league fixture.
At the 2026 World Cup he told Gazzetta (26 June) that Ronald Koeman had been clear he would be an alternative behind Gravenberch and Reijnders; he came on in every group match.
