Career

The Halle centre-back came through Anderlecht (78 league appearances) and signed a five-year deal with Sporting CP on 4 July 2024 for €15.5 million plus €5.5 million in add-ons and a 15 percent sell-on (Wikipedia).

His Sporting debut included two errors in the 2024 Super Cup defeat to Porto. Restored after Eduardo Quaresma's knee injury, he scored his first career goal from outside the box in a 2–0 Champions League win over Lille on 17 September 2024 (Wikipedia).

How they play

A 1.91 m centre-back who can also play defensive midfield. A Bola (31 August 2026) wrote that Rui Borges likes him alongside Gonçalo Inácio for build-up, using the long pass in behind.

Where they are now

He is at Sporting for 2026–27: Wikipedia's table, as of 28 August 2026, lists two Primeira Liga appearances. A Bola on 23 August recorded his return as a starter in a 3–1 win over Alverca, his first competitive game since 4 May after a muscle injury.

The Athletic reported on 9 July 2026 that Sporting had declared him unfit for Belgium's World Cup quarter-final against Spain, a call the RBFA said differed from its own medical staff.
