Ardon Jashari is a Swiss midfielder at AC Milan, starting the 2026–27 Serie A opener under Ruben Amorim after a first season in Italy that was cut up by a fibula injury.
Career
He debuted for Luzern in 2020, moved to Club Brugge in 2024 and was voted Belgian Pro League Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year after a Champions League campaign.
Milan signed him on a five-year deal on 6 August 2025. He made 14 Serie A appearances in 2025–26 without a goal. In a Gazzetta dello Sport interview on 7 August 2026 he said last year fell short of his expectations and that he wanted consistent minutes beside Luka Modrić.
How they play
A 5 ft 11 in central midfielder who keeps the ball, switches play with long diagonals and prefers a high press; Amorim has used him as a starter even when Modrić was available from the bench.
Where they are now
He started Milan's Serie A opener while Modrić began on the bench, and was withdrawn on 56 minutes in the 23 August 0–0. Milan are in the Europa League after missing Champions League qualification.
