Arthur Masuaku is a DR Congo international left-back who joined Turkish side Konyaspor on 10 August 2026, after a brief Sunderland spell and a half-season loan at Lens.
Career
Born in Lille, he came through Valenciennes, then won two Super League titles and a Greek Cup at Olympiacos, scoring on his Champions League debut against Atlético Madrid. West Ham signed him for £6.2 million in 2016; he made 105 Premier League appearances, including a mishit-cross winner against Chelsea in December 2021.
A 2022 loan to Beşiktaş became permanent in 2023. After leaving in June 2025 he joined newly promoted Sunderland on a two-year deal, made three Premier League starts, then returned to Lens on loan in January 2026 — the club where he had played as a boy.

A left-back who can also play centre-back, he overlaps aggressively and delivers early crosses; set-piece delivery is part of the package, including a free-kick goal for DR Congo.
Where they are now
On 10 August 2026 he signed a two-year deal with Konyaspor, his second spell in the Süper Lig. He had already been named in DR Congo's 26-man World Cup squad on 19 May.
