Born in İzmir on 23 May 1996, Söyüncü played 98 Leicester City matches (4 goals) from 2018 to 2023, then six games for Atlético Madrid in 2023-24 before a January 2024 loan to Fenerbahçe (12 games, 2 goals).

Fenerbahçe made the move permanent on 1 July 2024. Turkish Wikipedia lists 27 league appearances and one goal since the permanent deal; Transfermarkt has the contract running to 30 June 2027.

He wore No. 4 in Fenerbahçe's UEFA Champions League 2026/27 second-qualifying-round first leg (Getty caption, 21 July 2026) and is listed on UEFA's Champions League player pages as a 187 cm centre-back.
