Dani Olmo
Midfielder · Barcelona
Dani Olmo's Barcelona career began under a LaLiga registration cloud; he now holds a contract into 2030.
Career
Olmo joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig in 2024 as the club's marquee signing, but LaLiga's spending-limit rules meant his registration was only ever provisional while Barcelona tried to prove it could afford the deal.
Spain's sports court (the CSD) stepped in and ordered that Olmo and teammate Pau Víctor be allowed to keep playing on temporary registration while the underlying case was still being decided.
Where they are now
Barcelona have since moved to lock him down long-term, with his contract now running to June 2030, and reports point to an improved deal in recognition of his staying put through the registration fight.
