Eberechi Eze completed an emotional return to Arsenal in a £67.5 million deal from Crystal Palace in August 2025, nearly 14 years after being released by the club's academy as a boy, then made his World Cup debut for England in 2026.
Career
Eze was released by Arsenal's academy as a youngster, rebuilt his career through Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace, and became one of the Premier League's most productive attacking midfielders with 14 goals and 12 assists in his final season at Selhurst Park.
Arsenal hijacked a deal Tottenham Hotspur believed they had agreed with Palace, signing Eze for £67.5 million in August 2025 after an injury to Kai Havertz, and handed him the number 10 shirt.

A left-footed attacking midfielder who can play off either flank or centrally, Eze combines close control with a shot from distance that made him one of the Premier League's most watchable players at Palace.
Where they are now
Eze made his World Cup debut for England as a second-half substitute in the goalless draw with Ghana in Group L, part of a squad that went on to win bronze.
