Kai Havertz battled a string of injuries throughout Arsenal's 2025-26 title-winning season, but Germany still included him in their 2026 World Cup squad in hopes he could recapture form on the biggest stage.
Career
Havertz was restricted to 12 league appearances (two goals, three assists) in 2025-26 as fitness issues cost him long stretches of Arsenal's title-winning campaign.
A fresh muscular injury in February 2026 sidelined him for four games, against Brentford, Tottenham, Wigan and Wolves.
By late March 2026 he was back playing regularly after recovering from a knee injury, working to be fit for the World Cup, and Germany confirmed him in their final 26-man squad despite the injury-hit season.
Where they are now
Havertz enters 2026-27 aiming to put an injury-disrupted season behind him, after Arsenal's title-winning campaign was played largely without him.
