The Épinay-sous-Sénart forward came through Châteauroux, Laval and Lorient, then scored 20 Premier League goals in 39 appearances for Brentford in 2024–25 (Wikipedia).

He joined Newcastle United on 1 September 2025. Wikipedia lists a £50 million fee plus add-ons; The Athletic (27 April 2026) described a fee rising to £55 million. The Athletic reported in April that Newcastle explored selling him that summer; he wanted to stay.

How they play

ESPN on 1 September 2026 said two matches into 2026–27 he had already matched last term's league tally; he scored Newcastle's second at Tottenham with an overhead flick and celebrated with the 'Fimbu' — Lingala for whip — that followed the Leopards at the World Cup.

Where they are now

He is at Newcastle for 2026–27 (Wikipedia, updated 30 August 2026; ESPN, 1 September). Under Matthias Jaissle he was outstanding in the 2–2 opening draw with Liverpool (The Athletic, 24 August) before the Tottenham goal (Chronicle Live, 31 August).
