The Yıldırım right-back came through Bursaspor, a Karacabey loan and İstanbulspor, then signed a five-year deal with Lille on 8 July 2018. He won Ligue 1 and the Trophée des Champions there (beIN Sports, citing Juventus's announcement).

Roma made his move from Lille official on 5 July 2022 on a contract to 30 June 2026. Wikipedia records 106 Serie A appearances and one league goal, 151 games in all competitions. His Roma deal expired on 30 June 2026; Juventus announced him on 16 July.
