Career
Born in Ciudad Juárez and raised in El Paso, he was an FC Dallas Homegrown before Guadalajara, a Zacatepec loan and a breakout at Necaxa. América signed him on 17 January 2022 for $3 million (Wikipedia).
Wikipedia's América line is 162 league appearances and 47 goals through 2025–26. He played the 2026 World Cup with the United States; MARCA reported a knee clean-up afterwards. He has not appeared in the Apertura 2026 or Leagues Cup while Almada managed his return.

A 1.70 m right winger who cuts inside onto his left. André Jardine, then América coach, called him a top-three Liga MX player after a two-goal, one-assist night in a 3–3 Liguilla quarter-final against Pumas on 10 May 2026 (The Athletic).
Where they are now
Almada told MARCA on 30 August 2026 that neither Zendejas nor new signing Miguel Borja would be rushed, with the next review before a Leagues Cup semi. RÉCORD (23 August) had him in the last phase of rehab, targeting roughly Jornada 7 against Tijuana.
Soy Fútbol confirmed he was omitted from the 26 August Leagues Cup quarter-final against Columbus Crew. Wikipedia and Transfermarkt still list América, contract to 30 June 2027.
