Alexander Nübel left Bayern Munich for Beşiktaş on 8 July 2026 on a three-year deal after years as a loan goalkeeper — Monaco, then three seasons at Stuttgart — and a place in Germany's 2026 World Cup squad.

Career

Nübel joined Bayern from Schalke in 2020 but made only a handful of appearances for the record champions (Wikipedia lists one Bayern league appearance). He spent 2021–23 on loan at Monaco (76 league games) and then three seasons on loan at VfB Stuttgart.

Bundesliga.com notes 145 Bundesliga appearances and a 2024/25 DFB-Pokal win with Stuttgart. On 12 April 2024 he extended with Bayern until 2029 while remaining on loan.

On 8 July 2026 Bayern announced his transfer to Beşiktaş on a three-year contract. ESPN lists him as Beşiktaş's No. 1 in 2026-27.
