He debuted for IFK Göteborg at 16, then joined Genk in 2019 for a reported €5 million. A two-year loan at Heerenveen was followed by a permanent move to Nordsjælland in January 2022, where he scored 15 Superliga goals in 2024–25 and made the league’s Team of the Year.

Celtic signed him on 27 June 2025 on a five-year deal. He debuted in a 1–0 win over St Mirren on 3 August and scored his first Hoops goal a week later against Aberdeen. Wikipedia has 16 league goals in 38 Premiership games in 2025–26; Celtic’s own site credits 21 goals and nine assists last season.

He has four goals and four assists in five appearances at the start of 2026–27 according to Celtic’s player page. Mark Guidi floated a late-window sale after the World Cup, but as of 25 August he was still in Glasgow helping new signing Mika Baur settle.
